Church to include vaccination status Temple Recommend Question

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH — In a recent super secret, high level, area 51, clearance only type meeting held in the "upper room," Mormon leadership effected changes in the questions local leaders ask congregants to answer in order to obtain  a temple recommend - (a type of license allowing you to pass by the sentinels entering Mormon temples).  In particular, a question regarding vaccination status has been included. A spokesman for the Mormons said, "The questions have been updated to reflect how a loving God has changed his heart to adapt to the needs of the people rather than the people adapting to the laws of God." Since becoming Profit, President Nelson has implemented scores of changes to help better align the church with cultural currents in an effort to retain shrinking membership rolls.  As part of an additional effort to bolster women's self esteem, many of those changes have been oriented toward temple rites and more specifically toward the participation of women in what have been traditionally male roles and functions in the temple.  According to a spokesman, the changed and additional questions are also meant to help the membership better understand and have fidelity to the organization's Twelfth Article of Faith -- 12. "We believe in being the subjects of kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law."  The spokesman continued - "Heavenly Father wants us to be good citizens.  Being a good citizen means following the laws, or rules, of the places we live.  There are many different types of governments and leaders (such as a magistrate, which is another word for judge)." The spokesman went on to say--"Governments are perfect and everyone can sustain, strengthen and support the government where they live." For Mormons, the temple recommend questions are a sort of check-up to insure they are living the laws of the church.

Though the new direction has yet to be released to local membership units, The Beehive in Babylon has obtained from the Tribune an advance copy of a portion of the new questions with the vaccination status question included.

Mormons with inside information have commented - "It has been exciting and amazing to see how the Lord inspires the Profit to align church policy with the current cultural and world zeitgeist."  When asked if they believe the church will one day implement policies allowing "all types" of families to be sealed in the temple, the answer was a resounding yes!
